How does our facial rejuvenation treatment work?
The treatment uses a naturally occurring protein, ‘Botulinum Toxin A’, that temporarily causes the muscles of the face to relax, consequently reducing the appearance of wrinkles for a natural, rejuvenated look.
Wrinkle-relaxing treatment is a popular treatment due to minimal discomfort, treatment time, and little to no downtime post- treatment. It is available for both men and women. If you have forehead lines, frown lines or wrinkles around your eyes which you wish to minimise this may be the treatment for you.
Botulinum toxin is also used for the treatment of bruxism (tooth clenching and grinding) and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
What can you expect during the procedure?
The wrinkle-relaxing treatment is administered directly into the muscles that produce deep lines and wrinkles using a very small, fine needle.
This often produces a small sting sensation, which soon subsides where you can return to your normal activities almost immediately.
When will you see results?
Results are usually seen between 7-10 days after treatment and generally last for approximately 3-6 months. During this time period, the areas treated will look smoother and much more relaxed to give a more rejuvenated appearance.
How often do you have to have injectable treatments?
Frequency can differ from person to person, but most people require a treatment every three or four months if you wish to maintain the result of the treatment.
